Grade 9: First Aid Training
On Wednesday, September 30, the Grade 9 students took part in an important first aid training course led by their peers from the SHSID Medical Club. In this interactive session, two volunteers visited each classroom in turns. One taught the students how to perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and use an AED, while the other addressed how to respond in critical situations such as choking and bleeding.

During the session, the student-volunteers delivered detailed presentations that explained to their audience how to identify when specific first aid measures are required, helping students recognize the dangers of not providing first aid immediately. The volunteers then demonstrated each individual technique using professional equipment and a dummy mannequin, allowing students to practice the procedures one-by-one under expert guidance. This hands-on experience helped the students in their understanding of first aid and equipped them with life-saving knowledge for the future.
