Wonderful Day at the Art Museum: Printmaking in Schools Exhibition
Printmaking in Schools Exhibition opened at SHSID on Oct. 8. Since the start of 2026, Changning District Children’s Palace has drawn on public cultural resources including the Liu Haisu Art Museum to advance art education initiatives such as the Printmaking in Schools program. This program bridges artistic and professional resources from art museums with school education. Printmaking creation has evolved beyond merely "learning a production technique", and serves as an educational medium connecting art venues, schools and students. From a school’s perspective, what we witness in Changning’s printmaking practice is not only well-developed courses and artworks, but also valuable educational experience for exchange.
We forge bonds through printmaking. This connection arises not only from the art form itself, but also from finding shared resonance in our joint practice of art education. May this exhibition mark an open starting point. Let printmaking extend beyond individual artworks into more classrooms and campuses. May every viewing and creative process empower students to understand the world, express themselves and build connections with one another.
