Grade 9 Assembly: Introduction to Freshman Project

In the morning of Oct. 13, following the start of the assembly introduced by Ms.Xu Dan, Ms. Yu from the TA office gave a holistic introduction to the G9 Freshman Project, “Who are we at SHSID.” She described each stage in sequence and explained how it fits into the overall project that helps SHSID students develop through high school. Ms. Yu also provided valuable suggestions from the TA office for students regarding the freshman project, aiding students on their way to develop their interests. This guidance helped students better understand the project’s specific process, its possibilities, and where to start with.

The project, centering on different topics depending on students’ houses, will challenge the freshmen’s collaborative skills, research abilities, and creative thinking, while further offering a chance of orienting to competition-based projects. By the end of the assembly, three sophomores presented their freshman project last year. This was a meaningful opportunity for freshmen to learn from previous projects and enrich their own project ideas. The projects will significantly support the self-discovery in talents for all students, and furthermore support their unique careers in the future.
