Grade 12: Assembly - Intro of Puzzle Club
In the senior assembly on October 8, Bryce advocated to his cohorts the attractiveness of puzzle hunt — “a journey outside the box.” He shed light on the exciting experience of delving oneself into an initially scattered picture and eventually piecing the fragmented hints together to extract an accurate meaning.
Bryce defined a puzzle as any stream of information presented selectively that prompts you to seek an answer; a puzzle hunt is a pursuit to answer a series of puzzles that collectively communicate a message. As a prevalent extracurricular across prominent universities, it possesses merits in problem-solving and creative thinking.
After briefly introducing the puzzle hunt, Bryce underscored “the Spark,” a moment of epiphany where the blurry understatement gains clarity, as the hunt’s pinnacle. Offering the audience an opportunity to undertake the thrill themselves, Bryce advanced condensed examples of puzzle solving, such as puzzles constituted of solely emojis and lined images.
Approaching the conclusion, Bryce elaborated on the club Puzzle but Lunch and the prospective puzzle hunt activities to be hosted. With the zeal of his presentation igniting a spark in everyone to pursue their passions, the assembly came to an end.
