Puxi Campus Grade 3: Sets Sail
Afteran extraordinary spring, autumn is quickly arriving, and the third-grade children finally started the new school year as scheduled.
At the beginning of this week, all grade three students presented their excellent work from the previous year, shared their excellent summer holiday assignments, and reminisced about all the wonderful moments and highlights from last year. In Chinese class, the creative editing and rewriting of classic stories with pictures has caught everyone’s eye. The children adapted their favorite Chinese and foreign stories using their own colorful and interesting language to share the tales from the first-person perspective of the intriguing characters. There were many exciting stories shared, such as “If I were Hermione”, “If I was Magic Brush”,and plenty more. In mathematics, summer holiday assignments were shared and presented. Students used“My Daily Life” as the theme of the assignment and employed their math skills to show their daily schedules. The pictures the students drew were not only vivid andfull of creativity and imagination; teachers and students couldn’trefrain from nodding and applauding to show their appreciation and delight. These rich and wonderful learning achievements not only now decorate our school building, but theyalso reminded all of us of the wonderful memories from the past year’s academic life.
As we look back on the past, we also open a new chapter.
This year, grade three has a brand-new class, class 3(8). Students in 3(8) come from all over the world with different backgrounds and diverse experiences. They have broughtfresh air and new energy to the third grade. Additionally, they are working hard this week trying to adapt to their new environment and the wonderful SHSID grade three family. After seeing all the excellent work from other classes, the new studentsnowhaveeven more expectation and excitement for a promising new school year.
In addition to welcoming a new class, grade three has also developed a brand-new interpretation of HEROES. Our grade three HEROES will now be working hard to show Helpfulness, Empathy, Responsibility, Optimism, Excellence, and Self-management. The new HEROES skills are the goal for all students to strive for as we all learn and grow together. Both teachers and students believe that this school year students will overcome all kinds of challenges to achieve their goals and become little heroes!
The review is not only for commemorationbut also for looking forward withexciting expectations for the future. After having experienced a challenging year, grade three students will nowsurely gain more happiness and knowledge in the new school year we have begun!
