Computer Teachers Visit AI Company ‘YITU’

On the afternoon of May 29th, all teachers of the Computing Department visited the YITU Technology Company, which currently focuses on research in artificial intelligence. Its core businesses include smart security, smart hardware, smart cities, and financial & medical services. The purpose of this visit was to gain a deep understanding of face recognition technology, and to obtain ideas and cooperation possibilities for the campus security program at our school. The application of a face recognition system would not only improve the security of the school, but also provide other convenient services for our campus. During this visit, the teachers also talked to TIYU staff about possible cooperation regarding the artificial intelligence laboratory at our school, and sampled YITU’s face recognition and speech recognition products.
