Puxi Grade 4: Fraction Booklet

After learning about fractions, the Grade 4 students started to work on a new project. They were required to work in groups of 4 or 5 to create a fraction booklet. The booklet had to include: a creative cover, a table of contents, and one page for each topic. Topics could cover comparing fractions, equivalent fractions and simplest forms, converting mixed numbers and improper fractions, adding or subtracting fractions and mixed numbers. And the ‘Bonus Section’ could be any topic related to fractions, such as the least common denominator and greatest common factor, converting fractions and decimals. In this project, students also need to explain in detail how to perform each step of the above topic and include several examples for each topic. We are glad to see so many excellent booklets with beautiful pictures and good sample questions. Most groups even presented their work using Apps like iMovie and Book Creator. Our students are becoming more and more creative with their projects and homework!
