Grade 11: Dissection of Pig Hearts in Biology

On April 20th, students in Grade 11 dissected pig hearts in the Biology lab. Students exhibited a tremendous fascination with the experiment. Students were divided into several groups and observed the structure of pig hearts. The saw the various parts including the atrium, ventricle and blood vessels. They gained a deeper understanding of organ distribution and function, by learning through both theory and practical application.

Biology experiments are always one of the most popular curriculums in SHSID. The lab provides various kinds of materials for students to make sure that they can do research to explore interesting phenomenon in life science. Students can connect their knowledge together and get a deep insight of key points.
