Grade 8: Service Learning: Library Helper
Grade 8: Service Learning: Library Helper
As we all know, the library is a place where we can gain a lot of knowledge. It helps us to find the information we need for almost all kinds of academic problems. But, in order to find the information we need in the library, we need to find the category of the books that can let us find what we want. But if the library is too messy, although you know what information you want to find, you still have difficulty finding it. This is the job of the library helper: to organize the library and to help the teacher who works in the library of our school. As there are many libraries in our school, including the primary school ’s library, the library in the New Art Building, and the one in the High School.,8th Grade library helpers were separated into groups that contain four people at a time so that they can finish their goals in the three libraries more efficiently. As to save time and also to let every student participate, each group finished their mission for the whole semester in only one week. “I and my fellow friends chose to help arrange the library in the High School. The things we did were: helping to put the books back into the places they belonged to, helping the teacher to stamp stamps on the books that just arrived in the library from the other library in the school, and many other things. I learned a lot in the service.”
