Grade 9: Assembly - Passion from Ninth-Grade Classmates
At the Assembly of Week 6, Grade 9 students shared their stories with hardships.
Brian just started learning Chinese systematically when he was eight years old. The only way he had encountered the language before when he was small was the scattered conversations between his family members. But when he started learning, he was overwhelmed when he saw those pinyin and Chinese characters, and he didn't understand what strange letters they were. In class, he found that everyone around him could speak Chinese, and he felt the huge gap between himself and his peers, which put pressure on him but also encouraged him to work harder and harder to learn Chinese.
Next were the ninth-grade female students who were very interested in sports. Their passion for lacrosse was reflected in their passionate speeches. Although they also have zero foundation, this will not dampen their enthusiasm for exploring the world of sports. They encouraged: "Don't feel shy because of zero foundation and dare not experience different sports. We founders are also not very good at it, but this does not prevent us from continuing to practice and getting better and better!" This kind of perseverance and courage is what everyone yearns for now, and it also reflects the positive spirit of these young ladies who are brave enough to explore and not afraid of difficulties. Girls can also boldly step into the world of sports and challenge themselves.
Let's cheer for their positive attitudes toward challenges.
