Shanghai High School International Division (Fengxian Campus) Admissions Information
Brief Introduction of Shanghai High School International Division (Fengxian Campus)
Admissions Information of 2026 Academic Year
To further foster a high-quality international education environment that supports Shanghai’s vision of becoming a world-class modern socialist metropolis with global influence, Shanghai High School International Division (Fengxian Campus), hereinafter referred to as "the Campus," plans to enroll Grade 1 students of the International Division's primary school from September 2025, as well as Grade 6 students of the International Division’s middle school from February 2026. The Campus will officially open on September 1, 2026.
1. First-Class Campus Facilities
The Campus is located at 1800 Jinqian Road, Fengxian District, Shanghai, near Fengxian New City Center, also known as “Shanghai Fish.” The Campus has a total area of 95,685.7 square meters. The Campus design inherits the cultural identity of Shanghai High School while embracing the local characteristics of Fengxian. Inspired by the concept of the “Green Valley Mall,” the overall layout features “one valley, two axes, three belts, four zones, and five clusters,” carrying forward the cultural legacy of the SHS “Dragon Gate.”

The Campus fully leverages the distinctive advantages of Fengxian District, including its beautiful ecological environment, close integration of industry and education, and rich educational resources. Expansive sports grounds, advanced science facilities, comprehensive residential accommodations, and a well-structured interest-based talent development system collectively shape the distinctive educational profile of the Fengxian Campus. The Campus is equipped with newly built, modern teaching facilities, a standard athletic field, indoor and outdoor sports courts, a climbing wall, and a 50-metre indoor swimming pool. In addition, a professional rowing marina has made efforts to develop to support water sports programmes such as rowing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding.

The facilities include standard classrooms, specialized classrooms for music, arts, and science, innovation labs, and more. There is also a multi-functional hall, offices and meeting spaces, a library, dining areas, and dormitory housing, with two students per room, each with a private bathroom.
Sports facilities include a 50-meter swimming pool, basketball courts, badminton and table tennis courts, a climbing wall, an athletics field, outdoor courts, and general play areas. With diverse and multi-dimensional spaces, the Campus is designed to provide an integrated environment that supports learning, living, and physical development.

In addition, the Campus has set additional international student-centred boarding facilities for middle school students, offering a safe, comfortable, and supportive living environment for students with boarding needs. Through group living and self-management, students are guided to develop independence, responsibility, and strong life skills.
Furthermore, the Campus is equipped with advanced science and innovation laboratories covering multiple cutting-edge fields, offering students an immersive and professional platform for research-based learning and innovative practice.

2. Teacher Management
The teaching faculty of Fengxian Campus is affiliated with Shanghai High School International Division. The Campus adheres to SHSID’s educational standards, with all aspects of teacher recruitment, training, and instructional management supervised by SHSID (address: No.989 Baise Road). This ensures the creation of a high-quality international educational environment and service experience.
Fengxian Campus fully shares the high-quality faculty resources of Shanghai High School International Division. The teaching team includes both Chinese and international educators with extensive experience at the elementary and middle school levels. Dedicated to education and guided by a strong sense of responsibility, they consistently maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
With a rich humanistic environment, strong educational resources, and abundant opportunities for outdoor activities, the Campus brings these strengths together to support student growth. This integrated approach offers students broad opportunities for exploration and practice, while effectively connecting international education with region-specific resources and the school’s distinctive educational goals. Through multicultural engagement and inquiry-based practice, this approach supports students in achieving well-rounded growth.
3. Curriculum Design
The Campus is surrounded by a range of high-quality educational and study-visit resources, including Shanghai Haiwan National Forest Park, Shanghai Zhiyu, and the Fengxian Museum. Through a strong focus on high-quality teaching and deep home-school collaboration, the school fosters students’ interests across a wide range of areas, including music, visual arts, sports, science, and innovation, fostering an environment where every student can unleash their inner potential.
A wide range of courses and activities has been thoughtfully designed to align with the interests and developmental needs of both elementary and middle school students, encouraging each student to pursue individual passions in depth and express a unique personality, thereby enriching campus cultural life and the overall learning experience. A well-structured and comprehensive system—encompassing science and innovation courses, specialized sports courses, a wide range of optional courses, clubs, and research activities—provides comprehensive support for every student’s growth and holistic development.
