Puxi Campus G8 : Fire Drill and World Fair Intro
Last Week, the first part, the 8th grade homeroom teachers conducted a fire safety education course for the students. Firstly, the teachers showed the students two videos on how to escape a fire at home and in high-rise buildings . A third video was shown to explain how to operate a fire hydrant, followed by a group quiz to familiarize students with the steps of a fire emergency. Students are gradually becoming familiar with the steps to take in case of a fire emergency. Through this fire safety education, the students acquired practical methods for escaping from fire scenes and became familiar with the steps to take in fire emergency situations.
The introduction of the Geography World Fair in the second YD period, aims to help students understand the cultures and characteristics of various regions around the world. In this activity, each class is responsible for 3 randomly selected countries in the world, and then the purpose of the class is to decorate the classroom with local traditions, sell local food, and wear local clothes to exhibit the characteristics of the place. The students are very excited about World Fair, utilizing the remaining time to discuss and brainstorm specific activities and organizational methods together.
The World Fair serves as a showcase for multiculturalism, providing students with opportunities for self-improvement while also creating a space for the collision and exchange of different cultures. This allows students to not only learn academic knowledge but also to become global citizens with broadened horizons.
