Puxi Campus G7 | Winter Vacation Project Exhibition
In the refreshing early spring, students from the 7th grade Chinese group showcased their meticulously crafted winter vacation projects to their peers and teachers. The exhibition, themed "In the Flow of Time," featured handmade calendars, offering a visual narrative of the passage of time and the aspiration for a beautiful life and future.
Each carefully crafted calendar bore a distinct personal style and brilliant creativity. Amid the flow of hand-drawn illustrations, photographs, and words, one could almost sense the freshness of spring rain, feel the heat of summer, listen to autumn wind's soft whispers, and savor the purity of winter snow. They solemnly depicted a symphony of time, where the students' strokes and colors wove a melodious tapestry.
Approaching the exhibition, one could observe calendars created through various artistic techniques. Some students opted for hand-drawn illustrations, where each month's picture displayed miniature artwork rendered in colored pencils, watercolors, or oils, turning the calendar into a flowing art book that captured the unique beauty of each month. Others embraced the style of collage art, skillfully combining a myriad of collected photos, clippings, and patterns to create vibrant scenes. The accompanying monthly quotes complemented the collage art, adding even more color to the calendar.
Some students chose to showcase their view of the world through captivating photography. Each month's photo was a snapshot taken by the students, vividly capturing landscapes, people, or fleeting moments through their unique perspectives. Additionally, there were calendars where students used flowing watercolors to outline abstract patterns, creating an ink-washed portrayal of the trajectory of time, turning the passage of time into a poetic and picturesque journey.
The most touching aspect lay in the excerpts and personal reflections found on every page of the calendars. Within the confined space of each page, students documented the nuances of their growth and evidenced profound contemplation. Some excerpts drew inspiration from renowned quotes, some reflected insights into everyday matters, while others articulated beautiful visions for the future. These words, akin to postcards from time itself, conveyed the children's unique understanding of life.
Exquisitely crafted and filled with creativity and the essence of life, these calendars captured the attention of both teachers and students alike, eliciting admiration. The "In the Flow of Time" exhibition not only crystallizes the profound reflections of the 7th-grade students on life and time but also represents their attempt at independent thinking and expression, creating their own stories within the passage of time.
As the new semester begins, let us explore the beauty of Chinese learning and life in the ordinary details. On the path of self-directed learning, every insight and gain is a unique page on the calendar, recording each moment of our growth. Time swiftly passes, but happiness remains eternal.
