Lin’gang Campus G1: Children's Creativity Shines in Lantern Festival Celebrations
On February 23rd, amidst the festive and joyful atmosphere, the first-graders of SHSID Lin’gang Campus participated in a unique Lantern Festival celebration. From guessing lantern riddles to writing New Year wishes, and creating dragon handicraft decorations, the children showcased boundless creativity and enthusiasm.
During the lantern riddle guessing session, the children enthusiastically participated, racking their brains to solve the riddles and showcasing their intelligence. Guided by their teachers, they worked together to unravel one puzzle after another, filling the venue with laughter and joy. Subsequently, the children earnestly wrote down their New Year wishes. Some wished to acquire more knowledge in the coming year, some hoped to make new friends, some aspired to read more books, while others aimed to become braver individuals... These innocent wishes reflected the children's kindness and goodness.
In their Chinese class in the afternoon, the children displayed their artistic talents during the dragon handicraft decoration activity, unleashing their creativity and imagination. Using colorful adhesive paper, they created various exquisite dragon decorations, including adorable auspicious dragons, lantern-holding dragons, and joyful dancing dragons. Each piece was filled with the children's heartfelt blessings for the New Year and their love for traditional culture.
During this joyful and heartwarming Lantern Festival, the children not only experienced the unique charm of Chinese traditional culture but also enhanced their creativity, manual dexterity, and teamwork skills. The school aims to inspire students' love for traditional festivals through meaningful activities, creating a more vibrant learning atmosphere, promoting their holistic development, and enhancing their cultural literacy. Let’s look forward to these lovely children continuing to shine with brilliance in their future learning and growth!
