Physics Department: Driven Learning, explore the beauty of physics
Recently, the 8-th grade physics project competition was successfully held, adding infinite fun to students’ physics learning. upholding interest-driven learning, the 8-th Grade physics department encourage students to determine density of objects in real life. Besides, H level students began their exploration activity with the theme” Astronaut Rescue” in their physics classes.
Density is a key physical property of matter in fields such as chemistry and engineering. While you cannot measure the density of a solid material without the use of special equipment, you can use the definition of density to find it directly. During this project, different students may find different measuring instruments at home for mass and volume. Their wonderful jobs were shown through beautiful posters.
After studying the physics chapter “Force and Motion”, Grade 8 H level students began their exploration activity with the theme “Astronaut Rescue” in their physics classes. The speed at which an astronaut lands is a risk that is necessary to consider due to the impact of gravitational acceleration during their return trip to Earth.Parachutes are commonly used to slow objects falling from great heights and have been the subjec of extensive research and investigation over the years, making them an ideal way to assess our students’ understanding of dynamics laws. Students investigated the effects of parachute shape, material, and size on slowing the descent of their miniature astronaut through continuous trial and adjestment.
Upholding interest-driven learning, the entire project was led by students. The project allowed them to put their theoretical knowledge into practice and gain a better understanding of knowledge and real life.
