Middle School Math—An 24-point Showdown
Recently, Grade 7 students competed in an exciting 24-point competition in the Zhong Xing Building. With flexible thinking, they dotted the campus into a sea of math with distinctive answers and warm applause in a fierce competition atmosphere. After a fierce tournament, the champion, runner-up, and third winner were finally produced.
The competition was divided into three rounds, starting with the first round of campaigning, in which the participants took a 10-minute paper quiz within their classes to compete for the top 32 in the grade to advance to the second round. In the second round, the 32 contestants again showed their strengths by playing 1v1 against each other in an impromptu playing card game. In the end, only 8 players stood out and made it to the third and final round. In this round, the top eight players competed for the championship. The competition was tense and exciting, with the players showing their breathtaking math skills. In the end, Claire from Class 7-2 stood out from the crowd and was crowned the champion of the competition. Cathy from Class 7-2 performed equally well and won second place. The third place was won by Brian of class 7-4, who gave an impressive performance.
School spirit was high throughout the campus and the audience participated actively and enthusiastically. The cheering spectators cheered on the contestants, creating a unique atmosphere that made the competition even more exciting and interesting.
The 24-point competition was not only a math showdown, but also created an energetic and enthusiastic atmosphere on campus, showcasing the talents and skills of the 7th graders in math. Their performance in the competition was not only a demonstration of their individual abilities but also reflected the achievements of the school's math education and the cultivation of students' comprehensive quality. After the closing of the competition, students said that they got exercise and progress in the competition, enhanced their mathematical thinking ability, and stimulated their interest in learning mathematics.
