G2-3 | Pudong Campus: Parents and Children Welcoming Christmas Together: Parents Sharing Christmas Stories
In this season of laughter and warmth, the Christmas atmosphere on campus is getting stronger and stronger, and on December 19th, Year 2 and Year 3 students of Pudong Campus welcomed the activity of "Christmas Story." The activity was rich and varied, including interesting knowledge sharing, interactive experience, and creative handicrafts, with a lot of laughter. What did the children do? Let's take a look!
Aiden's mom from Class 2-1: Glowing snow globe with Christmas anecdotes
Aiden's mom gave the children of Class 2-1 a fun way to share their knowledge about Christmas. She not only introduced Christmas-related anecdotes, but also recommended five movies full of Christmas atmosphere to the students. Then, the children were surprised to receive a bulging Christmas stocking containing the materials needed to make a glowing snow globe. Under the guidance of Aiden's mom, the children made their own special Glowing snow globe.
Jason's mom and Jemma's dad from Class 2-2: A different kind of Christmas
Jason's mom dad brought an immersive Christmas experience to the children of Class 2-2. They taught the children how to write a letter to Santa Claus, had a fun quiz, and Jason role-played with his mom and dad to present a heartwarming and touching story of "A Different Christmas". At the end of the day, the children finished making their own Christmas houses and received surprise gifts in the midst of cheerful Christmas songs.
Rebecca's mom from Class 3-1: A Christmas of Love and Inclusion
Rebecca's mom brought a touching Christmas story about love and tolerance to the students of Class 3-1, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. She not only demonstrated the process of making a Christmas gingerbread man to the students, but also allowed the children to put their hands on the gingerbread man's make-up and create their own little artworks with icing.
William's mom from Class 3-2: Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer under the Christmas Tree
William's mom told the touching story of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindder" to Class 3-2. In the story, Rudolph had always been ashamed of his unusual nose, but later found out that his nose helped Santa Claus solve his biggest problem instead. Through the story of Rudolph, William’s mom guided the students to think about and discuss "strengths" and "weaknesses." Finally, under the guidance of William's mom, the children made beautiful Christmas tree decorations and cute Christmas hats, which was a perfect ending to the activity.
Through parent-child interaction, this "Christmas Story" activity cultivated students' creativity and teamwork spirit, and brought them an unforgettable Christmas time. May this warm memory accompany the children to welcome a new year full of happiness and hope!
