Primary Subjects G3: Exploring Nature’s Wonders—Ecosystem Project
PBAs are a fun kind of assessment, much more enjoyable than traditional assessments. During the Science classes in week 15, a PBA in Grade 3 proved to be more fascinating than ever, focusing on changes in ecosystems.
Initially, students were tasked with researching an ecosystem of their choice and identifying a potential change that could occur within it. Following their research, they analyzed this change and created a representation (such as a diorama, digital presentation, or poster) depicting the ecosystem before and after the change. The culmination of this project was when students proudly displayed their creative models in class for everyone to see.
These models, ranging from miniature to large scale, showcased the students' unwavering work ethic. From impressively realistic ponds to charming miniature forests, each model was unique and highlighted its own exceptional features.
Above all, this project serves as an excellent method to keep students engaged in their work. It not only demonstrates their academic progress but also encourages them to articulate and take pride in their creations.
