Lin’gang G3: Buddy Reading
Reading is an asset that accompanies children throughout their lives. Cultivating children's interest in reading will help them develop a good habit of loving to read and reading often. In the classrooms of Grade 3 in Lingang, reading can be seen everywhere. on December 1st, the two classes of G3 organized a "Buddy Reading" activity, where students went to each other's class, paired up reading a book together, and enhanced their understanding of the reading through sharing and exchanging ideas.
During the half-hour reading time, students were curled up in the corner, lying on the table, or leaning against the wall, in various reading postures, but all of them were enjoying diving into a book. At the end of this activity, the students closed their books with great reluctance. They said that they liked this buddy reading very much and that it was a novel experience to read and explore with students from the other class. Teachers hope that through the different forms of reading activities, children will agree from the bottom of their hearts that reading is not only beneficial, but also interesting.
