Grade 9: Outreach for SHSID, Outreach for You
During assembly on November 21, the students of ninth grade welcomed a sharing that was fairly different from the past. Before the speech began, a video with outstanding shooting and editing was displayed on the screen, and the audience’s attention were all attracted to it. Ryan He from 9(6) then introduced his videography project to the grade—Projectryanh. Over the past two years, he had built up an impression portfolio. The videos that he had filmed, edited, and published not only gained quite a number of followers on his personal account, but were also publicly played during major events in school.
From writing the script to designing camera languages and scene transitions, and from shooting to editing and publishing, Ryan said: “Producing such a piece of work is not an easy thing.” What was it that motivated him to persevere with his project and continue advertising about it? The answer is, passion, and the will to strive for his target. Ryan explained that his intention for making this project was to present the fruitful lives of SHSID students, as well as to keep record of all the memorable events in life.
By virtue of his passion, Ryan’s project received more and more supporters, both on social media and at school. Through this assembly, he invited the students of ninth grade to join his creation, together sharing each individual’s story, and telling their story collectively. Last but not least, he left a quote for the audience—“We make a difference this day by having true inspiration in our works.”
