Lingang Campus G3: Buddy Reading with G8 Service Learning Group
On November 23rd, Puxi's Grade 8 Service Learning Group came to the beautiful Lingang Campus and guided Grade 3 students to dive into the world of books.
This activity was mainly initiated by Grade 8 Service Learning Group, with the aim of encouraging students to actively utilize what they have learned in their daily lives, to serve the community to the best of their ability, and to reflect and grow from different types of service practices. This was the second time that the third graders met with the service group. They greeted enthusiastically and took the initiative to introduce their names and their daily life in Lingang. When G8 students took out the books they had prepared, G3 children immediately gathered in a tight circle, curious to find out what the "big kids" were reading. Together, they bathed in the world of books and realized the meaning of "giving a rose and leaving a fragrance in the hand" in the interaction of questions and answers.
Although the reading time did not last long, it was indeed a wonderful learning experience for the third graders. In reading and sharing with G8 reading buddies, they expanded their knowledge, enbroadened their wisdom, and learned how to do their part to positively help and impact the community through the bond of reading.
