Lin’gang Campus G3|Learn About the Thanks-giving Day
In the Personal Growth class on November 21st, the third graders of Lin’gang Campus learned about the traditional western holiday: the Thanks-giving Day. The Thanks-giving Day, which originated in the United States and has since been widely celebrated around the world, is a holiday for family reunion, expressing gratitude and spreading the warmth.
In the classroom, students watched an introductory video on Thanks-giving together and discussed its origin, development and significance to society and individuals. Afterwards, students worked in groups to share and discuss different themes of gratitude. Some students talked about how we should be thankful for things that seem ordinary and common but are indispensable in life, such as the food we eat, the clothes we wear, etc. Some took this opportunity to express their gratitude to their classes, classmates, and schools. And some mentioned the progress and convenience that today's technological development has brought to our lives... After a lively discussion, everyone was given a Thanks-giving list, and wrote what they were thankful for most from A-Z alphabetic order.
Through the introduction of Thanks-giving Day activities, students not only understood the western culture and customs, but also learned that they should be brave to express love, pass on love and always be grateful.
