SHSID Lin’gang Campus G1-3 | Exciting! Little Warrior Shines on the Sports Stage
The students of SHSID Lin'gang Campus met for the sports meet on the playground on October 10.
Children entered the playground orderly at 8:30 AM with the opening ceremony music. Mr. Feng Zhigang, Principal of SHS, Mr. Xu Yuecan, Principal of ESHS, Ms. Liu Fang, Vice Principal of SHSID Middle and Primary School and other teachers attended the opening ceremony.
Representative athlete Jayden gave a captivating speech, which demonstrated his commitment, enthusiasm and expectations. Everyone was eagerly anticipating the thrilling competition that would take place after this motivational speech.
Then, the dance performance by the students commenced. The "Waka Waka" background music played as the kids danced beautifully while holding pompoms in their hands. They received enthusiastic acclaim from the audience for their passionate performance. The competitions started after Ms. Liu Fang gave the opening statement on the platform.
The group event Ball Relay kicked off. With the order of the referee, two groups of students ran towards the middle line at the same time. At the center line, they completed the handover of the ball, then returned to high five their partner, letting the next student depart. This testsed the agility and teamwork ability of students, who went all out and to strive for honor for their class.
During the Wheelbarrow, the children needed to stand upside down on both hands, with their parents standing behind them, holding their children's knees with both hands to form a push car posture. They needed to work together, coordinate their actions, and move forward together. This game tested the tacit understanding and collaboration among family members, requiring close cooperation and mutual trust. This was not only a competition, but also an bonding experience in family unity, allowing parents and children to establish closer relationships through sports.
In the 50-meter race, the children instantly erupted into astonishing speed, sprinting forward like arrows. The standing long jump project required the children to exert force at the moment of takeoff and maintain balance in the air, landing as far as possible, which tested their strength and coordination abilities. The fun three throw project tested the students' accuracy and stability, requiring them to remain calm and accurately aim at the target while throwing.
By participating in personal projects, the students could exercise their physical fitness and enhance their self-confidence. They experienced the joy of success in the competition and also learned the courage to face failure.
In the kayak performance, the children vigorously rowed their oars and danced on the water, demonstrating the importance of coordination and teamwork, presenting an excellent performance to the audience. By performing kayaking, students showed their talents and passion, adding a touch of brilliance to the event.
Parents volunteers played the role of referee assistants in the competition. They interpreted the concept of "education is not only a matter of the school, but also a responsibility of the family" with their own actions, setting a good example for children.
This sports meet demonstrated the students' personal strength and teamwork coordination ability. It also strengthened the cohesion and friendship between classes. The children created wonderful moments with their sweat and effort, which is worthy of everyone's applause. Their outstanding performance will become a beautiful scenery on campus, inspiring more students to pursue excellence and move forward bravely.
