Puxi Campus G6 | Every Minute Counts!"24 points" Competition
At the beginning of the semester, the sixth graders of Puxi Campus began the "24 points" competition activities under the expectation of the students. At the beginning of each round, students randomly pick up four playing cards with numbers or letters representing numbers. The two students then try to calculate the answer "24" using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The student who finds the correct solution first gets one point, and the student who gets the most points within the 15-minute time limit wins the competition.
Many students participate in this competition because they find it competitive and fun, fully enjoying the game while practicing calculation. Teachers also believe that the game can help students improve their math skills, have fun and have a more fulfilling lunch break. Ultimately, the result of the competition is not what is important. What is truly special is the wonderful practice and application of math skills in an authentic setting. There will be more exciting games in the next grade, such as five-checkers, Sudoku, tug-of-war, basketball shooting, and some traditional Chinese games. We believe that these games will bring more wonderful moments to our tense study life!
