Shanghai High School places a strong emphasis on cultivating an elegant campus artistic atmosphere and advocates for the innovation and radiance of artistic activities. It actively introduces high-end international art exchange activities and strives to provide diverse art platforms for students. In addition to annual events such as art festivals, drama festivals, and instrumental and vocal music competitions, the Performance Season, initiated since 2019, particularly draws inspiration from the models of higher professional art schools in its design philosophy. It provides students with a high-level, quasi-professional performance stage in ten different artistic categories, with nearly a thousand participants in each edition, achieving efficient synergy and integration between classroom and extracurricular activities.

The concert provided students with a more professional and extensive stage for their artistic expression, serving as an extension of in-school artistic activities. It also served as a presentation and report of the achievements of art education at Shanghai High School to the wider society.
