Grade 10 Assembly: Wonderful Experience of Pursuing the DOE Award

September 28, 2023

In the morning of September 27, Grade 10 students gathered in the Lecture Hall of Zhentao Building for the weekly assembly. Six students were invited to talk about their experiences in the previous Duke of Edinburgh (DOE) Award activity. First, they gave an overview of the process of applying for and attending the DOE Award activity. From their introduction, it is clear that completing and passing every task of the DOE Award is not easy. Instead, it is an arduous journey that requires much tenacity. Then, they mentioned that because most of the tenth graders are already 15 years old, they have fulfilled the age requirement to apply for the silver award activity. By introducing the DOE activity, the six students attracted the attention and aroused the willpower of their audience. Lastly, they described their adventurous experiences during the summer—an exciting and fulfilling journey.

What came next were some brief club promotions. Then, Ms. Yu announced the students who performed well in specific academic fields and awarded them subject scholar awards. Under the audience's applause, the awards' receivers walked onto the stage smiling to claim the certificate and take a group photo. Let’s congratulate them!
