SHSID Lingang Campus G1-3 | Participating in Fire Drill to Safeguard Life Safety
On September 27th at 14:00, Shanghai High School International Division's Lingang Campus held a fire drill for students in grades 1-3, aiming to enhance their awareness and response capabilities regarding fire prevention. The drill was organized by the faculty of Lingang Campus, with guidance provided by experts in fire safety education. Students from grades 1 to 3 participated in the exercise.
Before the drill began, teachers from each grade gave students a detailed introduction to the dangers of fires and preventive measures. They emphasized the importance of staying calm during a fire, covering their mouths and noses with wet towels, and evacuating in an orderly manner along designated escape routes. The children listened attentively, actively asked questions, and demonstrated a high level of concern for fire safety.
At 2:00 pm, the fire drill officially commenced. The alarm sounded, and the children quickly and orderly evacuated the classrooms following the predetermined routes. Teachers walked ahead of the student groups, guiding them on the correct procedures. The children followed the teachers' instructions, swiftly and orderly evacuating to the designated areas. During the evacuation, the children also learned important skills such as staying low to avoid smoke and using wet towels to protect their breathing. They actively participated, helped each other, and demonstrated excellent teamwork.
The entire drill lasted for about 3 minutes, and the children successfully evacuated to the safe zone. The teachers highly praised the students' performance and reminded everyone to maintain fire safety awareness in their daily lives. Finally, Ms. Fu Bing, Director of SHSID Lingang Campus, summarized and commented on the drill
Through this fire drill, the children not only learned about fire safety knowledge but also improved their emergency response and self-rescue abilities. The successful execution of the fire drill was made possible by the collective efforts of the school, teachers, and students. We express our gratitude to all the participants in this drill and hope that through such activities, we can further enhance our fire prevention and response capabilities, making our lives safer.
