Grade 9: Assembly on Blackboard Use
At the start of the month of September, a new group of 2023 freshmen students started their journey of high school. They were all enthusiastic about the new subjects, teachers, and learning systems dedicated to them in high school, although the students are still befuddled by the bits of the unknown laid inside the pool of familiarity.
Thus, on the third grade assembly on September 19, Ryan Zhang, an invited sophomore, offered the freshmen a small lecture concerning the use of Blackboard, a learning-support website that students are currently using. In this presentation, every freshman was informed about the usage of the new system, the solutions to solving common problems on this website, as well as detailed steps on how to make Blackboard easier to use through the Blackboard View Tool (BBVT).
First of all, the presenter talked about the most common functioning channel on Blackboard: the content. Ryan then demonstrated how to look up and upload homework through the assignment tab. As he was demonstrating, he also reminded the students to submit their aptly-named homework in Word or pdf files for the convenience of their fellow teachers. Not just that, Ryan also answered a lot of problems that students came across when they had started to use this new learning website.
Lastly, Ryan explained how to use BBVT to integrate loads of information on Blackboard, and he wishes that this new academic supportive system can assist everyone in becoming better independent learners in their journeys ahead, creating a better learning environment for all of us to enjoy.
