Pudong Campus G5 | PG Class —— Goal Evaluation
As a new semester begins, everyone will have new goals, but how can we ensure that these goals continue to motivate us to move forward, rather than just being empty words on paper? At the beginning of each semester, we asked students to set SMART goals. Research shows that SMART goals are beneficial for learners of any age, race, or gender. By setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-based goals, learners will be able to develop in various ways, bringing them closer to achieving their dreams. Fifth-grade students in Pudong campus set their own SMART goals in the second week, but are their goals feasible, specific, and time-sensitive?
On the afternoon of September 14th, during the personal growth class, the fifth-grade students of SHSID Pudong campus conducted an activity on goal peer evaluation. Based on the SMART goals they had set, they evaluated goals set by two other classmates in terms of feasibility and specificity, providing a star and a wish. After the activity, students could discuss with the classmates who reviewed their goals, make modifications based on the discussion results, and reaffirm their goals as they strive towards them. Through this activity, students will have greater motivation to achieve their set goals. In the future, students will also be encouraged to reflect regularly and assess whether they are on the right path towards their goals or if they need to adjust their methods to reach them.
