High School Chemistry Department: IB Syllabus Discussion

On August 31, high school chemistry teachers convened at Zhentao Building to delve into the details of the new International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.

The focus of this discussion centered on the updated syllabus, with a particular emphasis on the importance of posing questions and conducting investigations to foster students' abilities. Now, each investigation segment carries specific value and the introduction of real-world applications in the realm of natural sciences (NOS) can effectively enhance students' practical understanding. As global chemistry educators embrace the changes introduced by the new IB curriculum, the spirit of collaboration and knowledge-sharing remain strong within the department to support the comprehensive development of SHSID students.
