Grade 9: Assembly - Debriefing by G9 ASB

With the end of the second semester on the horizon, the final assembly meeting of the school year was dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of the members of the Associated Student Body (ASB).

On June 13, Chelsea, the vice president of the ASB, opened the presentation in Zhentao Lecture Hall by outlining the major activities that they hosted, including the Sports Meet, Blackout, Spring Formal, and the recently-held Summer Bash. Next came the other heads of the various departments within the ASB to present their accomplishments and how their faction contributed to a larger goal. There was the activity department, and as the core of the ASB, they were in charge of coming up with new activities and event planning. The technology and treasury departments were headed by Jennifer, which organized the logistics, amassed the funding, and did the editing necessary to make their events a reality. We mustn’t forget the public relations department, led by Ray, tasked with raising publicity for ASB activities. The design and decorations department, headed by Minnie, was also an essential part of what created the events that students know and love, as they created all the aesthetics of the ASB’s activities.

As grade 9 draws to a close, it is a time for all the students to reflect and reminisce on the things that brought life and color to school life this year, and thank the members of the ASB for providing students with all those fond memories that students will forever associate with this exquisite school year.
