G6&8: Tug of War

May 15, 2023

In the youth development class on May 11, the exciting tug-of-war competition kicked off in the sixth and eighth grades. Tug-of-war tests not only the physical fitness among the team members, but also the cooperation of the whole team. As early as a week ago, each class started training early, and used their spare time to seriously study tug-of-war skills and practice team cooperation.

On the day of the event, the two grades competed in the open space near Zhentao Building and Zhongxing Building respectively. G8 drew straws to decide the teams for the tug-of-war, and then players of each class lined up. With an order, both sides quickly picked up the rope, and the atmosphere suddenly became tense. "Go!" The students on both sides bit the bullet and pulled back together. Undoubtedly, both teams are well-trained. The students who watched the battle shouted and ran for the honor of the class.

After they went back and forth for a while, both sides were exhausted. Yet no one dared to take it lightly, and the audience was even more nervous. The red rope crossed the line! After a whistle sounded the first winning class appeared! “Yeah!" They cheered and celebrated with hugs. The losing teams cheered each other up and thanked each other for doing their best as well.

A tense and intense atmosphere also prevailed in the open space in front of Zhongxing Building, where the elite of the twelve classes in grade 6 would battle it out to win the championship. Each student had a firm grip on the ropes, leaning back and giving it their all, demonstrating amazing perseverance and solidarity. The competition was often a stalemate, with each class not giving up until the last minute. Students gathered on the sidelines to cheer on their class and friends. Their loud and clear slogans gave the students a great deal of strength, and their enthusiasm and excitement added endless joy to the tense atmosphere of the game.

After several rounds of competition, the winner of G6 6 Tug of War was Class 6(11), second place went to Class 6(6) and Class 6(12). Class 8 (11) won the championship of G8 Tug or War! Class 8 (2) won the second place! Congratulations to these winning classes and let's applaud all the students for their unity, cooperation, and hard work!
