High School Physics Department: Open Class "Horizontal Projectile Motion"

On the morning of April 28, 2023, Ms. Huang Simin from the Physics department held an open class titled "Horizontal Projectile Motion" in the Zhentao Building recording room. Mr. Xu Zhencheng, head of the Physics department, Ms. Yang Bichunqiu, the supervisor, Ms. Wang Yan, the mentor, and many other teachers from the Physics department attended the open class.

With the theme of horizontal projectile motion, this class led students in exploring the regularities of horizontal projectile motion through interesting demonstrations and clever guidance. At the beginning of the class, Ms. Huang introduced the concept of horizontal motion by simulating archery with toys and asked the students to think about how they could increase the horizontal range. Then, through theoretical analysis, experimental verification, the summing up of regularities, and the solving of practical problems, , the principles of horizontal projectile motion were revealed layer by layer.

This open class had clear ideas, compact links, prominent/key difficult points, and reasonable design, which had been unanimously recognized by the present teachers. In the past two years, Ms. Huang's progress and growth could not be separated from the care and guidance given by the Physics Department and the supervision group. We look forward to more of Ms. Huang’s amazing performance in her future teaching career.
