Grade 9 Assembly: Safety Education of the Survival Training Activity
On Tuesday, April 25, the ninth graders gathered with light hearts in the Zhentao Lecture Hall to attend the morning assembly.
This assembly lecture was given by the head teacher of Grade 9, Ms. Yu, and was about safety education regarding the upcoming Survival Training activity. Students strained their ears to listen to the schedule for the two days of Survival Training on Changxing Island. Tasks such as teambuilding, navigation hiking, bamboo raft building, camp cooking, and the “Leave No Trace” conservation activity hooked every student’s attention. Also, being randomly assigned into teams to work together no doubt added to its appeal. The ninth graders will not only have a memorable impression during the two days, but also acquire precious skills like team cooperation and field experience. Of course, safety always comes first, and Ms. Yu announced a series of safety protocols. During Survival Training, it was stressed that one must strictly adhere to the directed precautions and code of conduct. Usage of electronics will be restricted during this event to ensure the experience and meaningfulness of this activity. And, of course, Ms. Yu appealed to all the students that behaviors must also be appropriate in adherence to the SHSID spirit.
