Grades 11-12: Find the Duck

April 28, 2023

With the new semester in full swing, mid-term goals are coming one after another, and students' busy figures are reflected in the tight pace of spring. In order to relieve the pressure on students during the semester, Psychology group held the "Find the Duck" activity from April 24 to 25, bringing joy and childlike fun to the campus.

Little yellow figures quietly hid in every corner of the campus - some ducks peeking out from under the desk, some on top of a cabinet, and some waiting eagerly in the corner, waiting for sharp students to find them. Each duck was only the size of a fingernail, which further increased the difficulty of finding them and added a sense of challenge to the activity. Perhaps in an unintentional moment, students could find that inconspicuous yellow figure and harvest surprise and joy. Some students said, "I didn't sleep well this morning and had to carry a heavy school bag to attend classes all day, feeling very depressed. However, as soon as I walked into the teaching building, I saw the cute little duck hiding in the corner, and I immediately relaxed." The little ducks seemed to have disappeared among the maturing High School students. The "Find the Duck" activity allowed students to re-experience pure happiness. Some students even developed an emotional attachment to their found ducks, giving them each with a special name and being able to identify the distinct features for each.

At the same time, the "Find the Duck" activity also made students more attentive to the often-overlooked campus environment. Busy students have become accustomed to their surroundings, thus neglecting to observe the vibrant environment around them.

The "Find the Duck" activity allowed students to slow down and carefully explore the vigorous and beautiful campus environment. They have started to pay attention to every scene that passes by quickly around them. With curiosity and anticipation, the process of "Find the Duck" has left comfortable and relaxing moments for the students.
