Lin’gang G2: Chinese Culture Week Kicked Off
The G2 Chinese Culture Week comes with the "24 Solar Terms". The 24 solar terms refer to a traditional Chinese calendar that reflects the ancient people's careful observation and clever use of the changing seasons. The G2 Chinese Culture Week activities took the children through the past and the present to experience the wisdom of the ancients and the magic of traditional Chinese culture in the changing seasons.
April 24th was the first day of Chinese Culture Week. If you walked into the elementary school building, you would be greeted by a magnificent picture of a thousand miles of rivers and mountains. The children started to prepare "Zhici Qinglv" paintings two weeks in advance and finished it just before the week, which kicked off a whole week of colorful activities.
On this day, students officially started the lessons of the seasonal cycle and observed the change of seasons. They learned about the customs of the spring season, felt the scent of spring, and made "spring bottles" to keep track of the spring season. In addition, we also wrote beautiful poems and drew the seasons from the poet's perspective on the bookmarks.
The Chinese Culture Week series has been running for more than ten years now, and the teachers at Lin’gang Campus have continued to innovate in their heritage to keep this event alive from generation to generation and to help the growth of batches of SHSIDers!
