Lingang G2: Book Character Day of the Reading Month

March 24, 2023

As the Reading Month draws to a close, the grand finale of the event, "Book Character Dress Up Day" also came as expected. On March 22nd, the second-grade teachers and students at Lingang Campus dressed up as classic characters from the book and enjoyed the joy of reading.

Look, the boy who was wearing round-framed glasses, dressed in black robes, gently waving a magic wand in his hand, was exactly Harry Potter! One, two, three, four… So many Harry Potter fans, they all could even get together for a campus version of the Quidditch ball game! Dorothy and the Scarecrow from "The Wizard of Oz" also came out of the book. Jayden from class 2-1 and his younger sister guided us to travel to that magical land with their elaborate costumes. The second-grade teachers also wore “thing 1” and “thing 2” T-shirts, just like the characters in Dr. Seuss's story, signifying that they will be always with the children on their journey of learning to explore and discover. On this Book Character Day, all kinds of familiar classic characters appeared in front of us. Of course, there were also some "strange" costumes that attracted the curiosity of the students. See, that little girl with cat ears and a long tail was pulling out the book to show the origin of her costumes! Students felt the novelty and happiness brought by the "dress-up day" while immersing themselves in the books to feel the ups and downs of each story.

The "Book Character Day" only lasts for a few hours at school, but reading never stops. Every passage and book are building a solid ladder for children’s growth. May reading accompany them to grow up happily and meet every great soul in the fragrance of books.
