Grade 12: Pre-departure Education - College Life
On March 20, in the personal growth class, Mr. Johns gave Grade 12 students a brief introduction to his previous college experience and outlined some of the main activities and advances of college.
First, Mr. Johns enthusiastically introduced sports-related activities in the college. He highlighted that there were a lot of options available to students, which was not only the excitement of the varsity league. But also, college provided more opportunities for students to let them try different sports and make more friends through teamwork. At the same time, most of the universities provide infrastructure such as gyms and swimming pools for students so that students can have different ways to exercise, keep up with physical fitness, and reduce stress.

Mr. Johns also introduced that there were many other clubs in university which can help students find their long-term hobbies and interests. A variety of clubs in the university can provide students more options to experience unfamiliar things and areas that students might not have been exposed to before, for example, music clubs, drama clubs, charity, and radio stations, etc. Mr. Johns believes that college is not only a place for learning but also a place to explore who you are. He strongly suggested students proactively participate in diverse activities. In college, there is no supervision on students' participation in activities as it is all more on their own. A variety of clubs provides students with more possibilities to find their future career direction, which also brings students more opportunities and choices.

In the end, Mr. Johns emphasized the importance of time management. We hope all the students do not waste time and energy in the limited time they have both in high school and in college (and in life in general).
