G6 Chinese Group: Poster Exhibition of "Festive Rhapsody"
In the fine and warm spring, the sixth-grade students in SHSID learned many interesting customs of festivals in different countries through class discussions and reading. Full of exploration and imagination, they gave full play to their creativity in the poster activity of "Festival Rhapsody". During the activity, students designed their own festival posters by introducing the uniqueness and charm of the festival to others. After a series of evaluation, the colorful results were finally gathered and displayed in front of us. Let's enjoy some of the best posters!
Students' festival posters were divided into three aspects. Firstly, the basic information of the festival was introduced. Secondly, they explained the celebration activities and specific customs, and lastly, they analyzed in depth the social value and significance of the holiday. The purpose of "No Internet Day" and "No Blue Light Day" is to let all office workers and Internet-related groups put down their electronic products and go into the nature, in order to get enough rest and relaxation. The "Human Evolution Victory Day" commemorates the process of human evolution, reminding us not to forget the hard times and to explore the direction of evolution. The festival includes a victory parade, the creation of tools, and activities to live in peace with animals. On this day, people conduct victory parades, create tools, and hold activities to live in harmony with animals as a way to reflect on the past, cherish the present, inspire the future, and enter a wider universe. On "Animal Care Day", everyone will dress up as an animal, and all animal hospitals and animal care stores will be open for free, in order to make people cherish every life on earth and protect biodiversity, which also gave rise to the "Original Day", "International Dog Day" and many other holidays.
In addition, there is a variety of novelty festivals in which the students' boundless creativity and imagination coalesced, such as Harvest Festival, Human Birth Day, Spring Bud Festival, Blind Box Festival… With smart design and exquisite color scheme, these works present the interesting customs created by the students as well as their interpretation of the meaning and value of the festivals, bringing both visual and thinking enjoyment.
The poster was created with the active participation of students from all 6th-grade classes. Our students have given full play to their imagination. The poster exhibition has not only enhanced the students' interest in Chinese learning, but also cultivated their hands-on ability and creativity, showing the image of independent learners with active exploration abilities.
