Lingang Campus: Buddy Reading

March 20, 2023

On March 16th, the second grade at Lingang Campus celebrated another classic activity of the reading month -- Buddy Reading. The children were paired up and each chose a book they liked to read to the others in turn. Unlike last semester, this time their reading partners were no longer from the same grade. The second graders came into the first grade classroom and became "loving, patient, sharing, and articulate" brothers and sisters.

Look, Benson from class 2-1 was taking out his favorite set of books, introducing the highlights and asking politely, "Which book do you like to read?" . William from class 1-1 was sharing the meaning of the word encyclopedia with great enthusiasm. Kimi was also listening quietly and enthusiastically reading his favorite Chinese story ...

Toward the end of the reading activity, the children returned to their seats and volunteered to raise their hands to share new words they had learned or interesting stories they had heard about. In the end, they all waved goodbye to their new reading buddies.

There are many ways to make children fall in love with reading. We hope that during this month's activities, children will find a reading way that they enjoy and feel more comfortable with, and also make the reading experience more fun and exciting!
