Primary Subjects G3: This Is How the Rain Comes

In Grade 3, we make learning fun! Following our natural resources unit, we transitioned into lessons about our precious Earth’s water cycle in week 4. This resource goes around, and around, and around!

To make this concept a hands-on reality for our students, we turned to an activity called “Condensation and Precipitation in a Cup”! In this experiment, students were able to use the scientific method to hypothesize how much condensation they could add to their shaving cream cloud before the raindrops dropped through and…voila! Precipitation!

In a creative environment, students’ curiosity was strengthened, enabling them to develop questions and increased their desire to learn by experimenting. This helped them better understand the environment they live in while also developing their analytical thinking. All in all, a very fun day!
