Lingang G2: Reading Month -- Drop Everything And Read
On March 10th, the second grade at Lingang Campus welcomed the most popular activity for the children -- DEAR, which means Drop Everything And Read, encouraging them to put everything aside, immerse themselves in books, and feel the charm and fun of words through focused reading.
Once the bell rang, all students quickly picked their favorite books from the shelves and then chose any comfortable corner to read quietly. You could find the cute students everywhere, on the carpet, in the corridor, in front of the desks, under the tables and so on. Bathed in the warm sunshine, no child hid their eagerness for knowledge. They sometimes frowned, sometimes giggled, as if they had entered the world of the book within just 20 minutes, dancing with the words and talking with the characters.
Dr. Seuss, a master of children's literature, once said that the more you read, the more you know, the more you learn, and the farther you go. We hope that children will read day after day to understand the power of words, to let their whims fly, and to look at a wider world.
