Lingang G2 PG Class: Behavior and Safety Rules

February 24, 2023

In order to build a safe, orderly, and enjoyable learning atmosphere and campus life, the second graders in Lingang Campus had a very important first lesson on school rules and safety during their personal growth class on February 22.

Unlike the previous PG lessons, this class used games to lead everyone to review the safety matters that need to be paid great attention to in daily learning and life, which was fun and educational. The teacher made it into a Jeopardy game through which the children raised their hands very actively and took the initiative to strengthen their awareness of rules and safety. As they entered the second grade, the students' study habits and attitudes have strengthened, but they are still in a critical and moldable stage of habitual formation. From their responses and feedbacks in class, it is obvious that they are mostly familiar with the details of the behavior and safety rules, but occasionally they do not follow the rules during recess time, such as running rapidly in the hallway and dragging their school bags in a dangerous way. No rules, no standards. Safety is never a small matter. Through this personal growth lesson, we hope students will remember the importance of rules at the beginning of the new semester, and slowly strengthen their sense of self-discipline.

A harmonious campus always starts from emphasis on safety. Since the beginning of this new semester, two more colors have appeared on time -- “the red vests” made up of teachers and “the green vests” made up of parent volunteers. They are always on the front line of campus safety, in the corridors, playgrounds, gymnasiums, parking lots, school entrances and so on. Their reflexive hand protection and day-to-day reminders protect the healthy growth of children and build a peaceful, smooth, and happy school life.
