Grade 10 CAS: Course Selection

On February 15, tenth graders made their way to the Xianmian Annex during the 6th and 7th periods to attend the first CAS class of this new semester.

First, Ms. Zhang Yue Yue, head teacher of the tenth Grade, started the event with a broad introduction about IB, AP, A-level and school course selection. She emphasized the importance of high school planning and reminded tenth graders of the application requirements and upcoming events. Course selection will start on Course Day in March with a pre-survey, and students were suggested to schedule standardized tests, attend college info sessions, and effectively utilize school resources like the course catalogue to prepare for the final confirmation in May.

After Ms. Zhang’s comprehensive speech, juniors who are taking A-level, AP, and IB each introduced their course selection experiences. They shared their course schedules and also useful suggestions according to their own experiences and the characteristics of each course.
