Puxi Grade 3: Reading Drives Writing in Chinese Class

December 5, 2022

This week, after finishing the lesson "The Fertile Paracel Islands", the third-grade students at Puxi campus were amazed at the vivid description of the fish in the text, and at the same time they were eager to try using these writing techniques to practice themselves.

In class, the students first carefully observed the shapes of different types of jellyfish under the guidance of the teacher, and selectively recorded their names. After that, the students focused on observing the movements and postures of the jellyfish when they swam, and recorded key words while watching the video. After careful observation, it is the time to concentrate on creation.

The writings handed in by the students were varied, and the jellyfish seemed to jump out of the paper vividly. "All kinds of jellyfish shuttle leisurely among the fish, some are like blossoming flowers blooming in the sea; some are like dancers dancing in the sea in lantern skirts; some bloom gorgeously in the depths; some drag their long silver tails, like the Milky Way in the night sky; others are like little lanterns floating in the sea, emitting dazzling light."

This week, the students carefully observed and boldly described. Reading can drive writing effectively.
