Pudong Campus Grade 1: “Egg-cellent” Parent

Based on the theme of "Thanksgiving" in November, the first graders in SHSID Pudong Campus had a fun "Egg Protection" event. In Monday's activity class, each student received an "egg baby", and they needed to take care of the "egg baby" just like their parents take care of them. During the event, students needed to take the eggs to school every day and take them home after school. At the same time, they needed to protect the eggs from being broken and cracked. The "Egg Protection" campaign lasted for five days, from November 21st to November 25th, and our little "egg parents" put in all of their energy to guard the "egg baby". Some of them made nice and safe nests for their eggs, some of them decorated their eggs beautifully, and some of them talked to and slept with their eggs every day and night. Finally, on Friday, the results of egg care were announced.

More than a dozen children in each class successfully guarded their eggs, and each of them received an "Egg-cellent" Egg Parent praising note. At the same time, to reward all the students for their hard work during the week, the teachers prepared chocolate eggs (Kinder Joy) for all the first graders. Through this "Egg Protection" activity, the students understood how demanding it is for their parents to take care of them and also learned how to express their thanks to their parents.
