Grades 11-12: Scholarship Presentations
On the morning of August 30th, 2022, new Grades 11-12 students who were finalists of Principle’s List Award and Social Activity Award for their dedication in academic and social activities returned to school to give presentations on their experiences and achievements.
Sophomores and juniors were at Zhentao Building while seniors were at Xianmian Building. Though the event took place early in the morning, all candidates and judges were well prepared and showed up on time formally dressed. Firstly, the finalists of Principle’s List Award presented one by one. Then, the finalists of Social Activity Award presented. After sharing their various experiences and achievements, presenters were asked to answer some questions raised by the judges as part of the evaluation process. After the presentations, the teachers, students, and parents who were among the judges would make their final decisions.
The diversity of the judges allowed every candidate to be evaluated through different perspectives. No matter the results of the selection, every candidate had worked hard during their past school year in pursuing their interests and serving the community. Most valuably, every candidate is a unique individual who has his or her own distinctive strength in a variety of fields. After almost half a year of not being able to physically go to school due to the outbreak of covid, the students were very excited to return to the campus and see their friends in person again.
