Grade 11:Tips for Time Management II

June 23, 2022

Students have adapted to the new lifestyle after months of online learning. In fact, many of them have devised ways in which they could improve themselves using the time that has been saved from online classes. Below are some of the effective time-management tips students wanted to share, which will be helpful for the summer holiday life.

During the online learning period, each "big goal", like reviewing, writing essays, etc., often seemed too hard for me to complete, causing me to procrastinate until I seriously had to start. But if these big goals had been broken down into smaller, more feasible goals, I would have been less afraid of them and more motivated to start. These small goals are relatively easier to complete, allowing me to tackle the larger goal once I complete these smaller tasks.

Sometimes there is so much work to do that I feel lost and confused as to where I should start. When this happens, I try to arrange a priority list so I can be more clear about the things that are the most urgent, and the things I might just have to postpone to another time. After making this list, I feel less lost and have a better direction as to where I should spend my time.

Online classes saved me more time to do the things that I didn’t really get to do before — art, photography, listening to music, playing chess with my family … I feel truly happy when doing these things and more motivated to continue to work hard. It’s easy to feel burned out after a long period of studying, so please remember to recharge!
