Grade 8 World Fair: Around the World in Two Hours!
On March 24th, the long-awaited World Fair for G8 students finally arrived!
For the glittering arrivals of world fair, 8th graders at SHSID have been working on their World Fair projects. Every homeroom was assigned three countries and were required to complete several tasks. Students arranged activities, planned games, and wrote riddles in groups. After the works done, photos are uploaded to the class Tile, representing different sites of this world trip. Now, it’s time to start today's unique trip.
Around the world in two hours is not a dream. In World Fair, the history and culture of various countries that have witnessed the progress of mankind are presented and created from the perspective of students. Chinese pottery and sky lanterns in 8(2), the African mask in 8(3), Brazilian traditional dress in 8(13) etc., brought on waves of joy. In this extensive project, students completed research, coordinated with others, through which the concept of “we are the world” has been taking root in every heart.
In this special time, World Fair not only gives students a break from their busy online studying, but also breaks the physical distance between teachers and students. Let's look forward to the next dazzling journey to World Fair!
