Grade 10: The Annual Report of Peer Advisors
On the morning of March 2, an assembly was held at the Zhentao Lecture Hall for tenth-grade students. The assembly speaker, head of the Peer Advisor group, Victoria Lee, talked about peer advisors’ activities and contributions in the past semester. She explained that the peer advisor group comprises multiple branches, including PA Tutorial, PA Journalism, and PA Resources. The PA Tutorial branch is in charge of hosting review lectures before tests; PA Journalism focuses on interviewing senior students; PA Resources creates review guides alongside providing other sorts of information. Peer Advisor has also begun to take care of students’ mental health by hosting scheduled round-table talks in which students can openly discuss their struggles. The assembly ended with an award ceremony for excellent Peer Advisor members.
The Peer Advisor program is indeed very helpful for many students, especially for group-reviewing and note-sharing before tests. Many students in Grade 10 have reflected that the review guides made by their fellow students and distributed by the Peer Advisor group have significantly helped them gain a better understanding of the test materials and, hence, improve their confidence for the tests. In the upcoming semester, the Peer Advisor program will continue to develop into more diverse aspects and serve the student community more sufficiently.
